The department of physics has come into existence since the inception of the institute. The department is involved in teaching the Engineering Physics theory and Laboratory courses to the students of different engineering disciplines.
As a fundamental department supporting all branches in first year engineering, emphasis is laid on basics of science and engineering. Furthermore, it deals with applications of basic sciences in engineering discipline covering all the major domains of technology, and is focused on imparting quality education to meet the global challenges of science and technology. The department plays a vital role in laying the strongest foundation so that the students are well equipped to stand up to higher education. The staff of the department are actively involved in research and teaching interdisciplinary courses. The department consists of highly experienced, talented and dedicated faculty members.
Beyond the syllabus
We are counseling the students to know their strength and weaknesses. And guiding them in a right path. For weak students taking special coaching to overcome their difficulties in academics. Teaching to weak students individually to make pass in university exams.
Research activities in the department
Pursuing PhD under UTU by Maruthi N. Presented a paper in National Conference held at MIT Manipal, Karnataka. The Institute is cooperative with respect to research activities. Attended a 5Day FDP Program at BMSCE Bangalore held on June-2016.
